Bollinger County Jail Release Paths
The Bollinger County Sheriff's Office operates the county detention function in Marble Hill. Leaving the jail has several possible meanings. Bond, own recognizance, time served, dismissal, or another court order may lead back to the community. A sentence to the Missouri Department of Corrections can lead to transport and state intake. Another county warrant, writ, federal hold, or immigration detainer may lead to a different custodian.
The state POST jailer notice independently confirms that sheriff jailers book, supervise, release, and transport prisoners. That operational role makes the sheriff's booking and release sheet the best local custody record. It should not be replaced by an arresting agency's press item, a court disposition alone, or a commercial jail directory. Each of those sources answers a different question.
Ask for more than a release date. The most useful release record includes the time, release type, releasing authority, and destination or receiving agency. A hold may identify why a person who checked out of Bollinger County Jail did not enter the community. Case.net can then explain the bond, dismissal, sentence, commitment, or warrant event.
Confirm Bollinger County Jail Releases
The official release route is the Public Safety Cloud JailTracker application. It reports Current Only and Released as separate modes. Released mode has seven-day and thirty-day choices. No native one-day or three-day feed exists. Use the recent detail for the initial record, then call when the checkout is new or its destination is unclear.
- Open the official Bollinger County JailTracker and complete the four-character, case-sensitive CAPTCHA.
- Enter the first and last name when known, choose Released, and select 7 Days or 30 Days.
- Match the name, Book Date, Release Date, Booking Number, Jacket, and Facility.
- Open View More and review cases, charges, bonds, court dates, status, and holds.
- Call 573-238-2633 to confirm release time, type, and any receiving agency.
- Check Case.net for the legal event and move to DOC, ICE, U.S. Marshals, BOP, or another county when the record shows a transfer.
A full named-person reconciliation, including older and federal routes, appears on the Bollinger County released-inmate search. Current Only should not be used as a historical list. Missing from the current roster does not prove release.
When the public result is missing, repeat the search with confirmed spelling and ask staff to use the booking or jacket number. Record the date and time of the check. A person can leave custody and later be booked again, so the most recent status must not overwrite the earlier release event. Obtain both booking records when the chronology matters.
Bollinger Jail Official Contact Channel
The Missouri Department of Public Safety Bollinger County page provides the authoritative sheriff contact route and a MOVANS handoff. Its official page is shown below because the JailTracker capture did not meet the image manifest's success threshold.
This state directory view helps confirm the agency before a caller relies on an older directory or an unrelated commercial jail page. The sheriff domain repeated by some older sources was parked on the research date, while the working release tool is hosted separately by Public Safety Cloud.
The split matters. Use the state page to verify the sheriff contact. Use JailTracker to search recent county releases. Use Case.net to read the court event. MOVANS can supply custody-change notices, but an alert is not a certified release sheet.
Missouri shifted local-jail notifications to the current MOVANS portal in May 2026. Local registrations now use SMS or email rather than the former phone and VINELink-app process. The state also cautions that a local-jail no-result may mean the jail is offline. Save the alert time, then verify the actual release timestamp and destination with Bollinger County Jail.
Bollinger County Jail Records Contact
The current state directory identifies Stanley Petton as sheriff. Direct a written booking or release request to the records custodian. Confirm the exact place for an in-person inspection and the current records hours before traveling because local web information is limited and third-party directories conflict.

No local online Sunshine form, dedicated records email, special jail-release fee schedule, or retention schedule was found. Do not send sensitive identity documents until the custodian explains why they are needed and gives a suitable channel.
Note: Call before visiting because the researched sources do not publish a dependable records-office schedule or a confirmed jail extension.
Bollinger Jail Release Record Fields
A focused request should identify the exact booking and ask for fields that distinguish a community release from a transfer. Bollinger County has not published a formal software field dictionary, so request these as existing fields rather than claiming that each one is present in every record.
| Requested field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Full name and another identifier | Separates namesakes without requesting excess personal data. |
| Booking number and jacket | Points staff to the exact local event. |
| Booking and release timestamps | Shows the physical county custody interval. |
| Release type and authority | Explains bond, time served, dismissal, court order, or other basis. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Distinguishes a community return from transport. |
| Charges and case numbers | Connects the custody event to the court docket. |
| Holds or detainers | May show why other custody continued. |
JailTracker's public result already shows names, Book Date, Release Date, Booking Number, Jacket, and Facility. Details may add an image, case and charge data, bond, fine, sentence, court date, arrest fields, warrants, and holds. Contact the jail about incomplete or inaccurate entries.
The requested release type should be read literally. Bond or recognizance may mean the case continues in court. Time served connects the checkout to the court's sentence calculation. DOC, transfer, writ, and other-agency terms point to continued custody elsewhere. “Deceased” is an end of custody but should never be described as an ordinary release. Ask the custodian to explain any local code that is unclear.
Request Older Bollinger Jail Releases
JailTracker's thirty-day Released choice is the longest demonstrated public lookback. It is not a statement that the underlying record is destroyed after thirty days. For an older event, ask the sheriff for the existing booking and release records using the full legal name, approximate date, booking number, and case number.
Request electronic copies and all reasonably segregable open material. If material is withheld, ask for a written denial that cites the specific legal basis. Missouri § 610.023 requires action by the end of the third business day after receipt, though a reasonable production delay can be explained with an expected date.
Section 610.026 permits certain actual copy, clerical, research, programming, and medium costs. No Bollinger flat rate was published. Ask for an estimate and narrow the date range to the event needed.
Bollinger Jail Transfer Records
A DOC commitment shifts the lookup from Bollinger County Jail to Missouri DOC. The statewide Offender Search covers active incarcerated people, probationers, and parolees. It does not show fully discharged offenders. Intake can also lag after transport, so a new state result may not appear at once. Confirm through DOC records when timing matters.
A federal or immigration notation uses a separate channel. BOP covers sentenced federal prisoners, while many U.S. Marshals detainees are housed outside federal institutions and may not yet appear there. ICE's locator covers current detainees and some recent releases within its stated window. A local entry marked ICE, USMS, federal, or other agency must be treated as a transfer until that authority confirms release.

- Transfer
- A move between custodians, not a promise of community release.
- Detainer
- A request by another authority to hold or receive the person.
Bollinger Jail Release Limits
No reliable official figure was found for facility capacity, annual bookings, average stay, routine release time, exit door, transportation, property return, weekend practice, pay-to-stay costs, or a county good-time formula. Commercial directories give conflicting capacity and contact data, so those claims should not be used.
Ask the jail about the particular event. A family member meeting someone at release should confirm the time and place directly rather than assuming a standard door or schedule. A projected date or court order can change because of holds, processing, new warrants, or transport arrangements. The completed release record is stronger than an estimate.
No other standalone adult detention facility was confirmed inside Bollinger County. Local police may make arrests, but the arresting agency is not always the custodian. Ask where the person was actually booked. Missouri DOC institutions serve sentences from Bollinger cases, yet no state prison is located in the county.
